Session: Pretending to be Agile – Implementation of MES in a regulated environment
20 years after the publication of the “Agile Manifesto”, “agile” has become not only a buzzword, but almost a mantra for companies large and small. Especially in software and systems development, the promise of being able to adapt quickly to a changing environment and to work with uncertain requirements is too attractive to ignore, especially if all you need to do is to become a certified SCRUM master and nominate a product owner.
Using MES implementations at B. Braun as examples, this presentation will take the audience on a journey. Our journey starts with a clash of cultures. Mutual assimilation follows, and finally, we will arrive at a state in which we can really focus on the creation of value. Are we now “agile”, or do we just pretend? That will be for the audience to judge.
