Thomas Beeg is the CEO and Managing Director of Fabmatics USA Inc., and owner and author of the blog Factory Physics and Automation (www.factoryphysicsandautomation.com). He has 28 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and strong passion for optimizing semiconductor FAB output and cycle time, applying advanced WIP flow management and automation technologies. Since 1994, Thomas has been with Siemens, Infineon, and Qimonda Richmond, LLC. He has worked as a Project Leader for various improvement projects in the fields of cycle time, equipment efficiency, and line control. In this role, he worked in semiconductor factories in Germany, Austria, USA, and Taiwan. Thomas was most recently Director Factory Automation / Industrial Engineering for Wolfspeed’s (formerly CREE) new 200mm Fab in New York State.
His areas of expertise focus on Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Engineering, Dispatching/Scheduling, MES/MCS/data analytics and Factory Automation.
